What is it about?

Basically it is about our infrastructure for spatial data processing here at The University of Manchester. We have GIS users all over campus – from geography and environmental sciences to engineering, medicine and arts; so not everything will be relevant to everyone.

A second topic are the research projects I am involved in (the second part of my job – think everything from Geostatistics to LiDAR). Some are quite interesting!

Finally, my third topic is the GI industry in general – comments on ESRI and Ordnance Survey, those kind of things.
